Sea Box designs, manufactures and customizes shipping containers for government, military, commercial and medical uses. This project included a new four-story, 34,000 square foot office addition and a 208,700 square foot manufacturing plant addition.
Huen Electric provided design/build electrical services for the underground utility infrastructure system for the Sea Box Inc. Manufacturing Facility Expansion. Their scope of work consisted of a complete in-house design/build of an underground electrical utility infrastructure system for a new 35KV electric service throughout the site, a new 8,000 amp, 480-volt service to serve the plant expansion, and a replacement of the existing building’s 2000 amp, 480-volt service.
The plant fit out also included power and control wiring for equipment such as a regenerative thermal oxidizer, structural crane runways, 350HP compressors, blast booths, robotic welding stations, hand welding stations, paint booths, assembly stations, new high bay lighting, fire alarm and miscellaneous general power throughout the facility.
The project earned a 2024 Award of Merit from ENR New York.
